How to Make Thomas Edison's Lightbulb

This video shows how the brilliant American inventor Thomas Edison might have come up with the idea to make a lightbulb. Lightbulbs are surprisingly simple, so simple that you can build one in less the 10 minutes. This video shows how you can make a simple lightbulb out things around the house.

Things You'll Need for this Project:

• Glass jar and lid
• Mechanical Pencil Lead
• 12volt battery (a new 9volt battery or lots of D-cell batteries joined
together will work as well)
• Wire and stripers
• Sticky tape and Bluetack
• Alligator clips
• Candle, Lighter and Water (safety)

Note: You may want to use sun glasses as eye protection or avoid looking at the glowing filament.
