How to Migrate Joomla Website to WordPress? | MilesWeb

Steps to migrate the Joomla website to WordPress:

1. Login to WordPress with your admin account.
2. You will see the WordPress dashboard.
3. On the left side, go to Plugins and click on Add New option.
4. On the right side, you will get a search box, in that search for FG Joomla to WordPress plugin and hit enter.
5. To install FG Joomla to WordPress plugin, just click on the Install Now button.
6. After completing the installation process make sure to click on Activate Plugin to activate it.
7. Now, click on the Import option of FG Joomla to WordPress from the installed plugins list.
You will see the Import Joomla window.
8. To fill the Joomla database parameters you need to first go to the Joomla directory folder and right-click on configuration.php file to view it.
9. Here enter your domain name in the hostname field.
10. Leave the Port field as it is.
11. From the configuration.php file copy and paste the details such as database, username, password, and Joomla Table Prefix to the respective fields in your Joomla database parameters.
12. You can verify the database details by clicking on the Test The Database Connection button.
13. You will get a message as Connection Successful. Then navigate to Start/Resume the import button and click on it.
14. It will take some time and once done you will get a message as Import Completed.
