Description from the creator

You can recover data from a corrupted SD (or microSD) card using gparted.
In the gparted menu you have: Device / Attempt Data Rescue.
However, when trying to recover the data, gparted will ask you to: "install gpart in order to use this feature".

You can install gpart using:

Installing gpart package on Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty Tahr) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gpart

After that you will be good to go.

I hope this will help you.
