So your old modem died or is slow so you bought a new one this shows how to replace your modem and it's a relatively simple process that you may need a wrench for but it's simple on how to replace your modem by watching this video. There's many reasons on why you would want to upgrade your modem such as for faster speeds especially during COVID as more people are online at home all day which can affect available speeds where you live. Simply upgrading from a DOCSIS 2.0 or DOCSIS 3.0 up to the latest DOCSIS 3.1 modem can make a major difference to your Internet speeds and or reliability depending on your carrier and how much strain they have on your particular node. Either way it's an easy setup that most anyone can easily do to upgrade their modem or replace their modem for better performance.
