How to Sort Excel by Alphabetical Order

In today's lesson, you will learn how to sort Excel by Alphabetical Order.
Open Excel file. We have a table with data ready for this tutorial. Go to 'Data' tab. Click on 'Sort'. Click on the tiny arrow next to 'Sort by'. It will have a list of your columns. Select the one you want to sort. We will sort 'Last name' column. Set the order. It can be A to Z, Z to A or a custom order. We choose Z to A. Click 'Ok'. You can see our first column is sorted in alphabetical Z to A order.
Let's do same for the next column. Select the column you want to sort. Click on 'Sort'. Click on the tiny arrow next to 'Sort by'. It will have a list of your columns. Select the one you want to sort. We will sort 'First name' column. Set the order. We choose A to Z. You can see our first column is sorted in alphabetical A to Z order.
