How to Start Your Career as an Athletic Trainer

Bernie Stento, certified athletic trainer and ImPACT Trained Athletic Trainer, talks about concussion management in the work world.

"One way we can help you in becoming a better manager of concussions is through the ITAT program. To become an ITAT you have to look at making a commitment yearly to continue your education. Certainly you can do that at your own time with the webinars and videos on demand. When I became an ITAT I wanted to know the intricacies of the data that I was looking at. What do the numbers mean? What do the composite scores mean? This is a good way to communicate with the parents about a patient's deficiencies."
