Description from the creator

SEO Audits should be terrific if Google is driving the audit, right? Not so fast. In this review Ross Barefoot checks out the SEO audit built into Google's Lighthouse set of tools, which is automatically incorporated into every Chrome browser. (Google Lighthouse is also available as a browser extension, in case that’s your preference)

This is part of our series of videos where we review free SEO checkers, tools that are designed to help you discover and fix issues that might be holding you back in search results.

Google Lighthouse is easy to use, a bit harder to interpret, and ultimately falls far short of being a complete SEO audit tool. It does have some useful features, and perhaps Google will expand it as they move forward (after all, if Google doesn’t actually abandon a product, they always move it forward).

Ross will walk you through the tool and point out some of the features and a few areas where we’d like it to do more.
