This is a simple, video tutorial to review basic features of a spectrum analyzer. Here we use an Analog Arts (analogarts.com/) spectrum analyzer to show how to capture a signal, measure signal's peak and strength, analyze frequency bands, measure peak and signal strength relative to the noise floor, review zoom-in function, apply different windows to the signal's FFT, and adjust the resolution bandwidth to analyze various aspects of the signal. For more advanced features of spectrum analyzer, please follow on with part 2 of the tutorial.
