Description from the creator

A Living Atlas is an informatics infrastructure that aggregates biodiversity data from multiple sources and makes it freely available and usable online. It is based on the Atlas of Living Australia platform and since 2014 has been adopted by numerous GBIF nodes and other organizations to support integrated access and use of their national biological and environmental information.

In this video tutorial we show how to use two of its spatial components. The regions module, that allows the user to find the species recorded in a defined region. And the spatial module that enables users to map a specie and explore the data for that specie by time, region, data quality and the specie’s link to the natural environment.
