Description from the creator

SimulScan’s Variable Presence feature is great for workflows where specific barcodes can be uniquely defined but their presence varies from label to label. With Variable Field Presence, SimulScan can now handle scenarios where the presence of some specific barcode fields varies from label to label- i.e., a PO Number barcode ( defined in template as a Barcode that begins with "K"), may not exist on every label but if it is present, this barcode would be captured. See it in action youtu.be/t8mDRx9fz-A )

Custom Templates are created with rules for what barcodes are mandatory or optional to capture and the order to return them in. The rules define unique attributes that tell SimulScan Which Barcodes to Capture in the field of view.
IIn this demo, we have created a template with the following rules:
The following fields that are mandatory, and must exist in every scan:
Part Number: Unique Criteria- begins with “P”
Order #: Unique Criteria- begins with “N”
Quantity: Unique Criteria- begins with “Q”
Unit of Measure: Unique Criteria- begins with “U”
The following fields are optional, and will only be returned if they are present:
Serial Number: Unique Criteria- begins with “S”
PO #: Unique Criteria-begins with “K”

Note: you can also use a Barcode Type or Barcode Data String Length to define the unique criteria for your Barcodes.

Note:
- SimulScan is a Productivity Tool, available on select Zebra Devices, to automate your data capture process and can be integrated via DataWedge or Zebra EMDK.
