Axle Stall is the foundation of successful riding in the quarter on a skateboard. It's a bs or fs 50‑50, only without the grind and executed in the quarter.

Ride right up to the coping. Back foot is on the tail, front foot is near the bolts, closer to the nose.
Bring your body and board into the quarter. With a slight backside movement, place the board on both trucks.
Use a light backside motion to go back into the quarter.
