How to Bass Fish With Big Topwater Baits

Do you have a lake nearby that has solid numbers of 4- to 6-pound bass with large forage present? If so, Texas bass pro Chris Zaldain explains the power of fishing oversized topwater baits along with some tips to do so effectively.

Efficient predators like big bass are highly adapted to feeding on large forage such as gizzard shad and trout. Well-placed casts with big walking topwater baits are an easy target and trigger gamefish with the proven back and forth action.

Zaldain shares the top 2 ways to fish these baits based on wind and sun conditions and wraps up the content with a discussion on casting mechanics for putting these baits on target without spooking fish.
