Scouting in the winter can really help you find deer beds quickly and easily due to the imprint they leave in the snow. Also with all the vegetation down, it makes seeing them from a distance that much easier. Once you find some beds, try to figure out if it is buck bedding or doe bedding. Does usually bed in groups in the winter and sometimes bucks do, sometimes they don't. Buck rubs or scrapes within a few feet of a bed usually signifies a Buck bed. After you guestimate this portion, then begin to plan when you think they will be there, what wind you can hunt them on, what tree you can hunt out of, and what wind they would prefer to use that bedding area. Lastly, drop some trail cameras to see if you can catch them using the bedding area and understand exactly when and how to approach it. Goodluck!
