Description from the creator

Learn how I configure a long-hose regulator setup on a twinset, including first-stage positioning, hose routing and the backup regulator.

In this video I demonstrate a Hogarthian-style configuration using Apeks DST first stages and Apeks XTX regulators on twin 12-litre cylinders.

The setup includes:
• Two DIN first stages
• Primary second stage on a 2.1 m / 7 ft long hose
• Backup second stage on a short hose
• Bungee necklace for the backup regulator
• Two low-pressure inflator hoses
• SPG and high-pressure hose
• Long-hose routing around the diver

The Hogarthian configuration developed within the cave-diving community around a minimalist approach: carrying the equipment required for the dive while keeping the overall configuration streamlined and consistent.

Long-hose configurations subsequently became widely used within technical diving and other forms of diving where gas-sharing procedures and equipment standardisation are important.

Important: Twinset configuration and long-hose gas-sharing procedures require appropriate training and practice. This video is intended as a supplementary equipment guide rather than a substitute for formal instruction.
