Have you been wanting to learn how to properly execute a slide tackle in soccer? Well in this video I tell you and show you how to do just that.

Be aware that sliding can be dangerous. This isn't a skill you want to use too often for many reasons. First off, you can really harm yourself or someone else if you use improper technique. Ever have someone catch you on the ankle with their studs? Yeah, ouch.

Secondly, if you miss with your tackle, you are in no mans land. You have effectively taken yourself out of the game for that play. You have to be positive you are going to get the ball when going in for a slide tackle.

I do realize that, despite this, slide tackling can be necessary skills in some situations. So that is why I created this video in order to give you some tips on how to do it right. If you do learn how to do it properly, it can be an effective tool to have.
