This is the ruby red midge. It is simple to tie and I find it most effective fished more towards the bottom of the river in the winter season. It is a quick tie and a fun one as well.
Materials use:
-Mustad nymph sproat size 16 hook
-Fire fly skirt
-Ultra thread black size 70
-Wapsi cyclops beads black nickel size 5/64"
