IPN's come in all shapes and sizes and although popular on Stillwaters all year round it is this time of year that they can do particularly well. As the water temperatures start to cool and the fish slow down a little they can often be tempted to to take a great big gaudy lure! I would fish this on its own with around a10' leader on a floating line. I figure of eight retrieve works well putting a few long strips in to bring the fly higher up in the water. As the fly descends hang on the takes can be ferocious!

If you start to get little tail nips try pinching a bit more of the marabou away this often results in a more solid hook up. Tight lines and don't forget to leave a comment below ;-)
