How many of you have been told "cut the line, the hook will rust out"? That isn't true anymore. Modern fish hooks do not rust like old hooks did. Sure they may get a little rust in your tackle box but that is not the same. They are made from different metals than old hooks. They just don't rust out like old hooks did.
This video demonstrates one of the best ways to properly unhook a gut hooked fish. It is easy to do and gives the fish the best chance at survival.
