HOW TO KEEP YOUR STUFF SAFE IN A HOSTEL! | Basics of Backpacking #10

Over the 4 years of travel I have done and the countless amount of dorm rooms I have stayed in, I have NEVER had anything stolen. But this doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. So here are a few things to do.
A lot of thieves like this are opportunists and are looking for a quick grab. So don’t make it easy for them. Utilise the lockers in your hostel, make sure you have your ow padlock with you as hostels do not provide them for you. Keep your valuables in there and then keep everything else closed away in your backpack or suitcase and if possible put your bag underneath the bunk bed.

Don’t have everything just sprawled about everywhere making it very easy for someone to just quickly grab your tablet or phone from your bed while you have popped out and then just leave.
