How to Pack when Traveling by Train

Careful packing is essential for any trip. Traveling by train is easy for short trips, and packing well is also easy. 1
Get the proper clothes for the occasion. If this is a long trip, then you may be able to pack more as you wont be moving as much. 2
Make sure to pack pajamas. You may be sleeping in a hotel, and pajamas are most comfortable. 3
Try to bring some everyday clothes. You probably wouldnt want to be stuck wearing formal clothes the entire time, if youre going to a formal event. 4
Make sure to bring enough underwear and socks. These should be easy to pack. 5
Bring clothes you would wear when sleeping on the train. These should be fairly comfortable, but not your pajamas. Sweatpants and a comfortable long sleeve shirt are good options. 6
Bring scarves, gloves, hats, etc if youre traveling during the winter months.

Remember to pack toiletries. You cant guarantee there will be toilet paper, toothpaste, or other toiletries on the train or where you are staying.
