Description from the creator

Alliums are ornamental flowers related to onions that produce balls of symmetrical tiny flowers in May and June.
Today we are back in the Norfolk Broads Cottage Garden where the seed heads of this years alliums are still standing. We are thickening up the planting in this border with an allium variety called Purple Sensation.
Watch us show you how to plant the bulbs or sets to get great flowers next year. This is a perfect time of year to plan what bulbs you want next year, and as the borders are being tidied, it's also a great opportunity to plant early as the bulbs are in peak condition.
The alliums we chose for this border are from Taylors bulbs and grown just over the border in Lincolnshire. The Variety is Purple Sensation and they grow to around 14-18-inches. The flower balls are around 4-5-inches in diameter and a bright rich purple. the dried seed heads are used in dried flower arrangements and can be cut and collected in July and August if required.
