Description from the creator

This tutorial video will teach you how to write songs that sound like Wonderwall by Oasis. I'm going to use Ample Sound's instruments as well as their Strummer library to emulate songs inspired from the British band's most famous tune. I hope it helps you to create better songs !

The first thing to have in mind is that the chord progression is extra simple. It starts with an Em7, a G major, an A7sus4 and Dsus4. If you pay extra attention to the chords, you'll notice that two notes are constantly played whatever is the chord we strum. Those two notes are a D note and a G note. They keep on ringing as the chord progression goes, and that gives the song that famous sound signature we all love.

In the strumming grid, we will be using some samples and patterns designed by Ample Sound. We'll go with the 070-16-44-Folk-04 pattern and then the 100-16-44-Pop05b pattern. Finally, we'll try to make a song using fingerpicking techniques.

The objective of the video is obviously not to prove that writing songs like Wonderwall is easy. Every song requires a lot of hard work !
