Audio Track & Channel Settings | Davinci Resolve Tutorial

Convert stereo to mono and setup audio in Davinci Resolve 12.5 to ensure clips playing in only one channel can be interpreted to double mono and heard in both.

If you are recording a vocal track on a camera, it's likely that you'll only want this to be a mono track. However, many cameras record this in just one channel of a stereo track so all your sound end up either just the left or the right channel.

This short tutorial shows you how to correctly interpret this footage as double-mono in Davinci Resolve 12.5 to bring in just the left channel into both or just the right channel into both. In Adobe, this is known as fill right with left and fill left with right. It's very simple to do in Resolve but is an essential piece of knowledge when working with non-stereo audio tracks.
