Automatic virtual machine activation (or AVMA) allows you to activate your VMs against your DataCenter version of Server, as long as it's your hypervisor. This activation method allows you to activate your VMs without having to manage individual product keys and lets you activate machines that don't have Internet access. It also validates the license against the hypervisor every few days, so it helps keep your licensing in order by preventing anyone from accidentally moving a VM to a non DataCenter hypervisor.

In this video we'll show you three different ways you can use AVMA: Command Line, Powershell, and remotely with PowerShell. These methods will also work in scripts or with any standard deployment tool.

Windows Server Datacenter Edition
Administrator account
