Secure copy protocol (SCP) provides a way to securely transfer files between a local host and a remote host. SCP uses Secure Shell (SSH) for the data transfer to keep it secure. WinSCP is an Open Source SecureFTP client for Windows which provides a GUI interface for performing file transfers with SCP. In this Snip, Matt is going to show you how to use the WinSCP GUI to transfer files to and from a remote host. Matt will also show you how to create a simple script file which can be used to automate file transfers over SCP.
