How to Change Author Name in comments In Excel
Whenever you create a comment in Microsoft Excel an author name is added to it automatically. This author name is actually the author name of your workbook and is actually the user name saved in your computer. But sometimes we need to change it or make it more professional. Now changing every changing author name of the cell comments in Excel could be disturbing so we can change default comment text or the default author name. If we change the author name of comments in excel it would be easier for us. Whenever we insert a comment our newly selected author name will be added to the comment. So basically, to change the author names for comments I am going to change the default settings for comment author name in excel. Let’s follow the below procedure to change the author name of cell comment.

Step 1: Click on File
Step 2: Click on Option
Step 3: In the General Tab look for “Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office”
Step 4: Change the user name here. This will be the new author name.
Done. This is how to change author name in excel. This is also how to change name on comments in excel. This is basically where i change the default settings for comments in excel.
