Description from the creator

There is no one solution for cleaning all jewelry. Sterling silver jewelry requires special care to remove tarnish and keep it looking as beautiful as the day you bought it. There is no one solution for all silver jewelry. Depending on what gemstones are included in your silver rings, earrings, necklace, or bracelet, or if your jewelry includes any antiquing accents, you may have to clean it differently. With over 36 years of experience in the jewelry industry, Atlanta Diamond Design has the expertise to help you clean your silver jewelry without damaging your gemstones. Watch this video for our expert tips and comment with any questions. Check out our other videos for tips on cleaning and maintaining other types of jewelry.

Stones that should not be exposed to heat or vibration of ultrasonic:
emerald, tanzanite, amethyst, opal, fracture-filled stones (includes many rubies), moonstone, labradorite, pearl, amber, coral, agate, turquoise, quartz, cameo, melee or pave (under 10 points) diamonds, invisible-set diamonds.

Stones that should not be exposed to harsh chemicals of jewelry cleaner or silver detarnisher:
emerald, opal, pearl, coral, amber, moonstone, labradorite, turquoise, agate, cameo.
Also avoid polishing these stones with a silver polishing cloth. You can use a silver polishing cloth on the silver elements of your jewelry, but clean these stones with a clean, soft, microfiber cloth like those used to clean eyeglasses.
