How to enter Credit Card Charges into QuickBooks

STEPS TO ENTERING CREDIT CARD CHARGES:

➡️ Creating an Account

Go up to “Lists”
“Chart of Accounts”
Go down to “Account”
“New”
“Credit Card”
Click “Continue”
“Account Name”
“Entering Opening Balance…”
**If you already had a balance, find your statement, enter “Statement Ending Balance”, “Statement Ending Date”

Click “Save & Close”
“Setup Bank Feed” screen will show
Click “No”

➡️ Credit Card Charges

Go up to “Banking”
“Enter Credit Card Charges”

Or

In the home screen, click “Enter Credit Card Charges”
“Credit Card”
“Purchase” / ”Charge”
“Purchased From”
“Date”
“Amount”
“Memo”
Under “Expenses” Tab
Enter “expense” account
“Amount”
Click “Save & Close”
