How to Evaluate Franchise Opportunities - Part 4
ChannelGoldstein Law Firm, PLLCDescription from the creator
Jeffrey M. Goldstein of Goldstein Law Group discusses how to evaluate franchise opportunities. In this video, we look at ongoing training costs.
While running a franchise, there may be unforeseen circumstances that require continual training in order to keep the business running smoothly. It is important to know if the franchisor is going to provide continued training, and the cost of this advice.
If a franchisor does not offer ongoing training beyond the opening period, but instead says that they have a help desk on hand to handle issues, that is a sign that the franchisor may have a problem with commitment to training.
It is important to look at the credentials, qualifications, and background of the support staff that will be handling training at the business. A franchisee should look at their consistency, record of employment, and how well the franchisors employee has been able to communicate the issues to franchisees. Many times the franchisor employees do not necessarily have the background in that particular industry to teach franchisees.
These are some of the training areas that should be evaluated. For others, please watch the video, or visit our website to learn more: goldlawgroup.com/franchise-agreement-review/?ut….
