Description from the creator

Caretakers, It's important to know how to help your loved one with migraines.

Migraine sufferers do not imagine the pain, they aren't pretending, and are not trying to get out of work, chores or fun.

It's real and debilitating. There are things the caretaker can do to help and things that make it worse

First, during an attack, .
ALL the senses are increased.

Smell~no Cologne, scented candles taste~nauseous so no greasy, salty smelly foods
sound~keep it quiet
light~sunglasses, close window shades
touch~be gentle and soft

Besides closing the window shades, pick up prescriptions, refilling water, helping with HH chores and activities, and just being there to support. Your loved one feels vulnerable and emotional as there is nothing they can do but wait until the attack passes.
Days following, can be a recovery time.

This particular migraine knocked me down for 3 days. The third day migraine was gone, but there is a "hangover" type feeling, or a shadow migraine...hard to explain.

These can last for days and the days following, they will be exhausted. Be patient, Be loving, and Be there for you loved one.

Very Important! No two people have the exact same symptoms or triggers-be patient. It's not their fault, sometimes they can avoid all their triggers, yet still be attacked by one.

During an attack, is not a time for advise or 20 questions. Be there for your Your loved one and educate yourself to talk and ask questions find out more while they're not in an attack.

There is no cure, and many things on the internet and 99% of them do not work. I've tried many.
