Here is one of the ways you can fix torn jeans - you can use fabric glue to attach the patches and skip all the sewing.
This is how we repair most pairs of ripped jeans lately because gluing is a just as durable solution as sewing (if you use good fabric glue).

This does not apply to jeans ripped between the legs or others like torn belt loops. Here are the videos of these two alterations if that's what you need to deal with:
