Hey guys and gals, how you doing? My name
is Alan with the contractor license
school and today I want to go over this;
how to get a c10 electrical license in
seven easy steps. So, the first thing you
need to know is you have to have the
proper experience. Now in the state of
California, the state requires four years
of experience. That's in things like
planning and estimating rough wiring
finished wiring and trim start-up
troubleshooting and maintenance things
like that. So as long as you have that,
you're ready to go and you're ready to
rock. The second thing is you need to get
prepared to pass the two state exams. And
so we offer both brick and mortar
contractor license in school in seven
different locations spread out and
growing throughout the Southern
California and also our online
preparation course and our home
schooling. Which basically you can access
from anywhere in the world anywhere that
you have internet, on your cell phone,
iPad, or computer. The third thing is is
you have to fill out that application.
Now that application, according to many
contractors, is quite daunting. But I want
you to know that all we want you to
focus on is our study material and
passing the exams that we provide for
you. Once you pass our exams, we're
guaranteeing you're gonna pass the State
Exam. But here's the thing that
application you basically we take care
of that. We walk you through step by step
and then we double-check to make sure
all the I's are dotted and t's are crossed. So
you don't have to worry about it. Okay,
number four is this, you've got to pass
the two state exams. So you get three and
a half hours for each exam you have to
do the law and the trade so plan on
being at the state testing facility for
eight hours so that you can get that
done.
Number five you got to get a surety
bond. Now a surety bond is an insurance
protection for the client of fifteen
thousand dollars and basically that cost
to use about a hundred to one hundred
and fifty dollars a year depending on
your credit now you have to get that
from an insurance company. Here's the
good news, not only we have contracted licensing
school but we're also an insurance
company. So we could take care of that
for you the next thing you have to do is
number six and let's get your live scan
once you get done with passing your
state exams the state's gonna provide
you with the necessary information so that
you can find the location in your area
to get that live scan. But hey, just so
you know you can go to any UPS store.
They'll help you take care of that.
Here's the beautiful thing about these
facilities, where you go get your live
scan once you do it they're gonna send
the information off to the contractors
state licensing board. So you don't have
to worry about anything else. Now number
seven, and I think which is I believe is
the most important thing here, is make it
happened I mean you know there are a lot
of dreamers, there are a lot of wishful
thinkers there a lot of people who have
an idea or want to do something but it's
really the people who take that first
