Description from the creator

Learn how to dial in that sought-after "clanky" bass guitar tone you've heard in so many of the best metal mixes in this tutorial.

Joel Wanasek shows how to do it in Cubase and the stock amp simulator plugin, but the same approach will work in any DAW with similar plugins. He duplicates the bass track into two tracks: one clean, and one with distortion. Finally, he applies some eq to remove problem frequencies.
