How To Influence People | Leadership Skills for Everyone

In this video I'm sharing five (5) skills and one (1) bonus skill on how to influence people. These are things that anyone in any position who wants to increase their influence in their business or with any group can use to grow themselves.

I'm talking about more here than just how to be social with others, or make a friend. I'm talking about some specific skills that when used will speed up the growth of your leadership and help you and your team accomplish new heights of success. By doing even a few of the items I speak about in the video you will build your charisma and increase your influence.

Here's the list ⬇️⬇️⬇️

1️⃣ Listen First (0:46)
It's important that the people that are working with you feel heard. Their ideas need to be developed and built on.

2️⃣ Have Patience - Speak last (1:37)
I think this skill is as important as listening. Many leaders are type 'A' personalities and want to roll in, tell everyone what they think, and then push everyone to get to work.
By being the last to speak, it allows everyone else to be heard first and feel a level of importance.

3️⃣ Develop your communication (2:41)
Communication is the exchange of information, it's not one way. How can you be sure that your communication is clear - have the person you are speaking with repeat back to you your message to make certain they have understood it.

4️⃣ Know what your weaknesses are and build on them (3:39)
When others see you working on yourself and improving where you can it is inspiring. People will enjoy the understanding that you are not perfect and you have a journey to travel as well.
When others see that you will continue working to grow yourself, they will often start their own journey.

5️⃣ Be the hardest worker in the room (4:25)
When you demonstrate that you are willing to work hard. So do other people. Regardless of the social group you are engaged with. If you work hard, they will work hard, if you don't neither will they.
