How to Log Out of Messenger on Android 2018

Find out everything you need to know about signing out of Facebook Messenger on your Android device. We'll be showing you how to log out of Messenger, and giving you some extra information and tips you should know as well!

To log out of the Messenger app on Android, start by opening your settings. Scroll down and tap Applications. Then select Application Manager. Find Messenger in the list and tap it to open details. Select Storage. Then tap Clear Data. To confirm, tap Delete.

If you want to log in again, tap Continue as [your name], or tap Switch Account to sign into Messenger with another Facebook account. Logging out of Messenger will not sign you out of the Facebook app if you have that on your device as well.
