Description from the creator

1:1 Mentoring Sessions Available: alexisidro.com/Mentor Get a Step-by-Step, Customized Financial Plan: alexisidro.com/FinancialClarityBlueprint Avoid being underpaid as a Junior engineer by learning how to negotiate your salary.

It's important to understand the market and your skills, so you can have the best chance at increasing your income.

Tips below:

1) Know the worth of your engineering skills in the market

2) Set a goal, and work towards that number. Don't give companies a salary range

3) See other company benefits beyond the salary, and consider them when making a final decision.

4) Be willing to compromise

5) Give specific reasons why you should be paid as much. Provide proof that you bring value (accomplishments, letters of recommendation, unsolicited compliments, etc).

BONUS: Know when to stop negotiating (if you receive an offer that is very close to the number you asked for, then it may be a good idea to take it).
