How to Pot a Tree
ChannelStark Bro'sDescription from the creator
If you want to grow your own fruit but have limited space, try growing fruit trees in containers. Here are some directions for potting a bare-root tree.
1) Check the container depth and make sure you have room for the graft union to sit above the container’s rim.
2) Add a layer of gravel or rock to the bottom of your container to help with drainage, and then add layer of potting soil to the container.
3) Carefully separate and spread the tree roots.
4) Place tree in the center of the container and carefully add more soil around the roots.
5) Secureley pat the soil down to remove air pockets.
6) Gently wiggle the tree so the soil settles firmly.
7) Add a final layer of potting soil and pat down. Make sure the graft union is above the soil line.
8) Water thoroughly.
