How to park on the left in a car driving lesson driving-school-beckenham.co.uk/moving-off-and-s…

On your UK practical driving test, you will be asked to pull up on the left quite a few times. But what if you're not confident or occasionally hit the kerb? Hopefully, this video will help if you're learning to drive and taking driving lessons. Using a reference point on the front of your car can help you park on the left perfectly every time.

To get a good reference point in your car you should stop on the left and then you can either: check your left-hand door mirror, get out to make sure that you have parked perfectly or get your driving instructor or passenger to help. The kerb should look like it disappears into the centre (or near to) of the windscreen. Now you've got a reliable reference point, you should be able to park on the left like a pro every time!

Would you fail your driving test for touching the kerb? Not necessarily but hitting or mounting the kerb would be a serious mistake on the driving test. Stopping too far from the kerb could also be a serious mistake.

Hope this works for you and gives you some driving test tips. If it does help then please give us a 'thumbs up' like! Leave a comment below on your experiences of learning to drive.

Thanks for watching.

Good luck with your driving lessons and driving test!
