This video is really all about how to set goals and achieve them. I want to give you my method for smart goal setting so that you can learn how to quickly scale your business.

When it comes to goals, I like to think that they don’t really have to be “realistic.” What do I mean by that? Goals should be doable but as long as you have some sort of proof that you can accomplish them, don’t be afraid to think big. For example, if you’ve only made $10,000 but you want to grow your business to six-figures, I say that’s an ambitious but sensible goal. Having sold $10,000 worth of services to your clients, you clearly know your audience and you know the basics of marketing and sales.

The key to knowing how to set goals and achieve them is being able to understand your capabilities and to break down your goals into smaller units. Smart goal setting means making your big goal as attainable as possible.

For example, when I first started out with my online ads consulting business, my first goal was really just to have someone tell me that they’re interested in my service. After that, it was getting my first paid client.

Don’t get me wrong -- I had lofty goals. I wanted to build a six or seven figure business. But I focused on the small steps that I knew would be necessary to get there. By breaking down your targets you can make things much more manageable for yourself. This kind of smart goal setting will serve you well; once you learn how to set goals and achieve them, your journey will be easier.
