Luckily, I was able to submit an appeal and get the video back on my channel, but I lost my ranking in organic search. As a content creator, search and referral traffic is huge for smaller channels. If your video is removed temporarily from YouTube, you will lose your placement in search. I hope this video provides some transparency on the whole process of appealing a violation, and I hope YouTube creates a better system for removing content.
