How to Take Smart Notes with Bidirectional Linking

How to Take Smart Notes: the idea of smart notes was originally popularized by writers Niklas Luhmann and published in a more recent book by writer Sonke Ahrens. The idea is that your notes are all interlinked in such a way that relevant notes will resurface themselves when you are writing about relevant topics. Luhmann used an intricate system of note cards and slip boxes to create a network knowledge, and we have replicated his system in digital format using tools like references, tags, and portals. These all allow for bidirectional linking and allow for effortless generation of new ideas.
