How To Use A Lensatic Compass For Beginners - Cammenga 3H

This video covers the basics of how to use a lensatic compass for beginners. Knowing how to use a compass is a skill I think every adult should know. And the Cammenga 3H tritium compass is an excellent land navigation tool trusted by the US military for years. Thanks to Optics Planet for providing the compass for this demonstration.

For more info on compasses and maps, check out this playlist: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLlvBLL5-fJbjKV34J5pv… I made those videos a while back. The first one about getting free maps is pretty outdated because the USGS website has changed, but the rest are valid. Honestly, if I need a map I buy it from MyTopo.com. You can create custom centered maps in a variety of scales and get them on water-resistant, tear-resistant paper for about $16 or so.
