This is super easy way to make yummy caramel at home.
Ingredients:
1. 1 can of condensed milk
2. Deep saucepan
Method:
1. Immerse closed can on it's side in a pot of water and bring to a boil.
2. Leave on a simmer or light boil for 2 and a half hours to 3 hours, topping up with water as needed. Be careful and don't let the water dry out or the can could explode (I simmer mine 2 and a half hours).
3. Remove from heat and let cool thoroughly before opening can. Don't open the can while it's still hot. The condensed milk should be thick and a nice caramel color.
