Description from the creator

HI and welcome back. Today I have for you a video on how to make curtido. Curtido is a side dish for pupusas. A Salvadorian dish. You can eat it with about everything. with Yuca Frita or sancochada. It just depends on what you like to eat it with. I just love eating it by it self too. But it taste so much better with a pupusa.

Ok so let's get started the ingredients are:
2 heads of cabbage
6 carrots (shredded)
1 onion (sliced)
Oregano (2 pinches)
Salt (to taste)
Boiling water (depends on the size of the container)
Vinegar (same as water)
Red Crushed Pepper

Shred the cabbage and carrots and slice the onions. Add them to your container. Then add the oregano and the crushed red peppper.
Repeat this step again. Like in the video. Then add the water and vinegar and salt. Taste to see if it's not to acidy. If it is add more salt. Until you like the taste. Now just let the curtido set. You can eat some now but it tastes so much better days after.

I also have the salsa and pupusa recipe coming out soon. I'm just taking them in steps. So now that you have the curtido ready it's time you learn how to make the salsa. Stay tuned for that video.

Remember this is how I make my curtido. They are so many ways of making it. But this is how I DO IT!!!!! I have adapted the recipe to my liking.
