How to take kids fishing and enjoy it!

I have several friends with children who don't get the opportunity to go fishing as much as I do, so I try to take them fishing when I can. I invited Mike and his 4 and 7 year olds Michael and Madeline to join me and some friends last weekend on Texoma. We thumped for striper as usual but focused on catching bunches of smaller fish vs. the bigger fish that we normally chase. We really focused on keeping the kids hopping by catching the fish and having them reel them in. Although it looks like I am reeling in the fish sometimes, its actually the kids. I just wanted to keep the fish hooked and the rod in the boat! Key things to consider with kids:
1. Keep them busy, reeling, scooping up bait, (or of course eating)
2. Its the quantity vs. quality, catching 10 little fish is 10 times more fun than one big one
3. They took a few home for dinner so they were proud of their catch!
