How to Fix Blurry Videos | CyberLink PowerDirector 15 Video Quality Tutorial

In order to fix blurry videos in PowerDirector while editing, the video quality settings need to be adjusted. First you need to change your preview video quality in PowerDirector so that your video resolution is the highest quality possible while editing your videos. This way your videos will not look blurry while editing.

There are two ways to improve the quality.

First you can go to preferences, display, and change the display to Full HD Preview Resolution.

The second way to improve the video quality is to go to preferences, General and remove the check mark from the box next to Enable HD Video processing (shadow file). Once this is done you need to delete all previous shadow files. if you do not the program will continue to use the preview quality of the shadow files. To delete the files go to preferences, General, and click the Manually Delete button. Then select the files to delete and click OK.


If you increase your preview quality it will take longer to edit the video. By allocating more memory to processing a full hd preview you might encounter other preview issues such as video stutter, audio video sync issues, and more while the program pushes to bring you that crystal clear image you're looking for.

Keep in mind, whether your preview quality is beautiful or blurry and no matter which preview issues arise from changing your settings it will not impact the final output of your video. No matter what your preview looks like your video will have the appropriate video quality based on what settings you select in the Produce tab.
