How to make a TECH DECK FINGERBOARD! | Purple heart wood!

Hello everyone! Today i am making a Fingerboard out of some purple heart wood. I first cut a 3 1/2'' block of the purple heart, then i trace out the shape of my favorite tech deck i have. I cut that out on the bandsaw. Now that i had a very rough shape of the board i went and drilled the holes in the blank for the trucks in the board later(i used a 1/8'' drill bit). Then i put the teck deck on the blank on its edge so i could trace the tail and nose so the board would have curve. I cut on the line with the band saw and then did lots of sanding to finish the board. Now the board needed grip tape so i used some all purpose grip tape. i used a 1/2'' punch to make a hole in the middle for my e to be shown on the top of the deck. I stuck on the tape and then wood burned a e into the circle. Finally i finished it off with some spray lacquer.
The board is absolutely AWESOME! It works great and has a lot of pop. Its also beautiful in my opinion.
