Description from the creator

What makes a good magic the gathering deck?

Consistent kills (you have the game in the bag by turn 4-5. Turn 2-3 kill, don't mind if I do!)
- Playing powerful creatures fast - Aggro
- Through a series of events... I WIN - Combo
- Tremendous board control, keep your opponent from doing anything - Control

Your deck plays consistently by getting the cards you need
- You need to play cards every turn, your deck can't run out of steam or stall. Ways to make this happen: card draw, reanimation, ramp, acceleration, mana curve, color fixing
- Insure that your the beatdown, you have the best board position the entire game, from turn 1 till you kill your opponent. How to make this happen: luck, get rid of opponents key cards, gain card advantage.

- Choose the best cards and put 4 of each of them in your deck.
- If a card doesn't help you win, take it out of the deck.
- Tutor for it a card that you need, a tutor is a card that reads search your library get the card you need.
- Draw a lot of cards, the more cards draw the more likely you'll get the card you need.
- An alternative to drawing cards is: getting rid of cards you don't need. How to make this happen: keep your deck size to the minimum 60 cards, play spells, lands that pull out less useful cards from your library (Sacrifice Lands).

You have a plan B
- Your deck isn't a one-trick pony, if your opponent got to choose a card from from your deck and remove all copies of that card from the game can you still win consistently by turn 5? (Memoricide anyone?)
- You have a sideboard, your deck can adapt to deal with problem areas, and address decks your opponents may play.
