Ways to raise happiness

- Walk 256 steps with your Pokémon in your active party. (+1)
- Give the Pokémon Vitamins and Minerals. (+5 [0-99], +3 [100-199], +2 [200-254])
- Usage in an important battle like a Gym battle. (+3 [0-99], +2 [100-199], +1 [200-254])
- Level Up the Pokémon. (+5 [0-99], +3 [100-199], +2 [200-254])

If a Pokémon is caught in a Luxury Ball, all happiness-raising events will rise by one point more, while happiness-lowering events are not affected. Likewise, a Pokémon holding a Soothe Bell will also rise by one additional point per happiness-raising event.
