Props to you for watching this post-2018 and listening to 13 year old me teach you how to get pointless coins.

EVERY 100 STEPS YOU GET 1 PLAY COIN every 100 steps
First of all if its a new day your ready to go just skip to step 5
step 1: Go to "Settings"
step 2: Go to "Other Settings"
step 3: Go to Date & Time"
step 4: Go to Todays Date move the day up by 1. Then press "ok"
step 5: go to "Home Menu"
step 6: Close the 3DS and shake it or walk around. (every 100 steps is 1 play coin)
(every shake or step are "3DS steps")
step 7: Once you get 1000 steps or 10 play coins you are done for the day.
Repeat the process to get more coins.
Congrats! A 12 year old helped you!
